Discipleship
The Celebration of Hope is committed to discipleship. Those who respond at the Celebration Of Hope Services are referred back to the local churches for spiritual growth and encouragement. Our goal is to make disciples not just decisions. Training for this purpose will take place during the preparation phase of the Celebration.
 

Steps Taken to Insure Follow-Up
To insure that every person responding has an opportunity to grow in their relationship to Christ and become a vital part of a local church several components are included:

Counseling/'Encourager' Role at the Celebration Service
Encouragers at the Festival provide the first step in Follow-Up. Each person coming forward will be given a four-part personal Bible Study, Living In Christ, and is encouraged to read the Gospel of John and complete the study. For information about being an Encourager at the Celebration, see the Training page.

Encourager Follow-up
Each encourager will be asked to make a single contact with the person they share with to help provide a bridge between the time their commitment is made at the Festival and the time the local church makes contact. However, those who make a commitment and are under the age of 18 shall be refered directly to their local Church, as the encourager will have no further contact with them.

Personal Encouragement from Franklin Graham
The Co-Labor Team, a group of volunteers working each evening after the Celebration meetings, will prepare and send a letter from Franklin Graham to each person making a commitment. This letter is another part of the bridge between the time the person makes their commitment and the time the local church makes contact.

Contact from a Local Church
Counseling and follow-up information will be given to local churches to be distributed to interested individuals.

Neighbourhood Discovery Groups (NDG)
Bible study groups for new Christians shall be lead by trained volunteers. See our Training Page for details on NDG training.

Phone Survey
This survey will be completed in the weeks following the Festival. Every person who makes a decision for Christ at the Celebration is called to determine if they have been contacted by a local Church and offered fellowship and Bible Study.

Decision Magazine
Each person making a commitment will receive a copy of Decision magazine for 3 months.
