Kidzfest- Tips For Bringing A Group
(Click here to download this page as an MS Word file)
Plan Ahead – Time is short so start getting invites out to children you want to bring and organise leaders to come with them.
Think Beyond – Are there kids you know in your community, family or wider church circle who would enjoy coming to KidzFest? This is a great opportunity for children who don’t normally come along to Sunday School or church groups to hear the Good News.
Think Big – Why not book a bus and bring as many as you can to the Odyssey?
Make It FUN! – Make it memorable for kids from the moment you set off for the Odyssey. Have treats organised for them, put a Duggie Dug Dug CD on the stereo and bop your way to KidzFest.
Safety Tips
Child Protection
1. Each group is responsible for having the correct leader to child ratios in place and following their own child protection policy at all times.
2. Ensure you have parental consent forms signed for each child.
3. Celebration of Hope has a child protection policy in place which will be adhered to by all Encouragers at the event.
The Venue
1. Seating will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
2. Odyssey staff and the Celebration of Hope Ushers will direct people to their seats and assist with access and movement within the building.
3. Car Parking is available.
4. The Odyssey has conducted a full risk assessment for the event and all the necessary evacuation procedures are in place.
Your Group
1. You may find it would be helpful to have an easy way of identifying members of your group. For example, badges, hats, t-shirts or wristbands which can be worn at the event.
2. Ensure everyone knows the name of the group they have come with, especially if they are not regular members of your group or Sunday School.
3. Please supervise your group at all times whist at KidzFest and try to keep movement around the venue to a minimum during the programme.
